In June, a bipartisan resolution was introduced by Reps. John Culberson (R-TX) and Brian Baird (D-WA) that would change House rules to require all major bills to be posted online publicly for at least 72 hours before they are brought to a vote on the House floor. Reps. Greg Walden (R-OR), Culberson and Baird filed a “discharge petition” in the House regarding the 72-hour review resolution. If this bipartisan discharge petition receives the signatures of any 218 House members, Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer will be required to schedule the resolution for an up-or-down vote on the House floor…
This bill would give Americans an opportunity to know what is in any health care legislation prior to it becoming law. Speaker Nancy Pelosi opposes this bill. Would you like to have a chance to read legislation as most legislation will affect you and/or your love ones?
Now, this really gripes my butt. What could she “possibly” object to in allowing the American Citizens to read what they are about to shove down our throats? Dang it.

The amazing thing to me is that the American people allow Congress to admit they are voting on bills they do not and they say they cannot read. Some Americans probably do not even know this. I guess a lot of Americans gave up some years ago and came to believe that they have no real control over what goes on in Washington. The internet has changed this, however, and many Americans now feel they do have power to change Washington.
Our constitution was written to allow the people of this country to have power, not Washington. Over the past 200 + years, the power shift has gradually shifted.
Notice the language found in the Bill of Rights and other Amendments:
“Congress shall make no law… ”
“the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
“No Soldier shall, …”
“The right of the people …”
“No person shall be held to answer…without due process …”
“…the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury …”
“the right of trial by jury shall be preserved …”
“Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.”
“shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people …”
The constitution is all about rights of private citizens and protection of freedom. This is no longer being taught to students in our government schools.

If teachers taught the contstitution and other documents that are a part of our founding fathers words and works, what has happened in Washington could not have happened and even now people would rise up against tyranny. Nancy Pelosi and many others would be impeached.
