If in our pursuit of higher knowledge God seems to get smaller, we are being deceived. – Beth Moore
In her book, Voices of the Faithful: Inspiring Stories of Courage from Christians Serving Around the World, Beth talks about how in America we so fear ridicule that we often resort to “intellectual unbelief”. Those who are unbelievers have successfully intimidated Christians by suggesting that only ‘uneducated and/or gullible’ people would believe the Bible. This hinders God’s work in the USA.
Matthew 13:58 Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
This isn’t true in other parts of the world. Those who have been denied the Word in many lands and who hear it for the first time receive it gladly and sometimes risk their safety just to own a copy of the Bible.
This idea that only the ‘stupid’ or ‘gullible’ or ‘uneducated’ actually believe the Bible is from the father of lies, Satan.
Beth Moore also says that she believes Satan’s scheme to deceive America is frighteningly effective and that we should never allow anyone, no matter how smart or impressive, to talk us out of thinking huge things about God and his Word.
I might add that a verse to remember is:
Romans 1:21-22 Professing to be wise, they became fools and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man–and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
and
Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.

Thank you for connecting to my Wowza Wednesday, Jlue! I’m humbled as well as honored. I love getting to know other who love the Lord!
I enjoyed the visit and I am glad you came by. I try not to get to remember that we are here to lift up the Lord. Sometimes I get too involved in politics. I know that whatever happens in November will be what God allows and if we want to change the government we must first reach people for the Lord.
