More and more I see evidence that Barack Hussein Obama sees himself as the ‘benevolent’ dictator of the USA. Of course his idea of “benevolent” and ours will be very different and it is questionable whether any dictator can be truly benevolent. While he hasn’t declared himself dictator for life yet, and he may not be planning to do this, his actions gives one cause to wonder if he should be elected again could this be the next step in his plans to “rule” the USA. His comments that he must ‘bypass Congress’ and that “he will not take ‘no’ for an answer” are troublesome.
The most damaging evidence that this could be what Obama has in mind was written by The Rutherford Institute and involves the Obama Administration’s plans to create a surveillance state. While it sounds too creepy and too 1984-ish to be true, read the quote before you decide it isn’t true:
(February 16, 2012) The Rutherford Institute states it is “Dedicated to Civil Liberties and Human Rights”. It has posted an article recently concerning the increased use of drones in United States airspace, and the future we can look forward to as a result of a recent congressional legislation authorizing the FCC to create a domestic drone program, enabling surveillance of the American people.
Congress has just passed a bill, the FAA Re-authorization Act, mandating that the Federal Aviation Administration create a comprehensive program for the integration of drone technology into the national air space by 2015. The FAA predicts that there will be 30,000 drones crisscrossing the skies of America by 2020, all part of an industry that could be worth hundreds of millions of dollars per year. This mandate is yet another example of the political power of the military-industrial complex, Congress’ disdain for the privacy of American citizens, and the rampant growth of government. With this single piece of legislation, Congress is opening the floodgates to an entirely new era of surveillance, one in which no person is safe from the prying eyes of the government. This may prove to be the final nail in the Fourth Amendment’s coffin.
In addition to this outrage, the Obama Administration has been very busy with the transformation of America and the transformation is not according to our constitution, you know the one that was written to “secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.” Consider the following changes to America (You may want to follow the links as well):
Apr 21, 2009 Passed H.R. 1388 – This bill called ‘The Serve America Act’ is a “community service” bill that involves our children and how they are to serve the federal government. Obama did not use his dictatorial powers to pass this, however, it is so overreaching it needs to be considered here.
April, 2009 – Obama refused to allow banks to return bail-out money they did not need to the federal government.
June 15, 2009 - President Obama appointed a “czar” who answered only to Obama. Even before this appointment, the top-ranking Democrat in the Senate wrote President Obama a letter saying that czars are unconstitutional. This is a clear violation of the Constitution. His name is Czar Kenneth Feinberg and he has the authority to set the pay scale for executives at any company receiving government money. Feinberg has the power to say that someone’s pay is excessive, and to make companies cut that pay until the czar is pleased.
Last week President Obama appointed yet another “czar” with massive government power, answering only to him. Even before this latest appointment, the top-ranking Democrat in the Senate wrote President Obama a letter saying that these czars are unconstitutional. President Obama’s “czar strategy” is an unprecedented power grab centralizing authority in the White House, outside congressional oversight and in violation of the Constitution.
October 1, 2011 – The president signed an international treaty which would permit foreign companies to demand that Internet Service Providers remove web content in the United States without any legal oversight. Entitled the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA), the treaty was signed by Obama on October 1, 2011, but it is currently a subject of discussion because the White House is circulating a petition demanding that senators ratify the treaty. This was done quietly without any input from Congress, much like a dictator operates.
June 1, 2009 Obama took over General Motors.
February 23, 2011 – President Obama decided that the Defense of Marriage Act was unconstitutional and asked his Justice Department to stop defending it in court.
March 21, 2011 – Team Obama announced the formation of the American Conservation Youth Corps. Little information is available on this, but it apparently has to do with H.R. 1388 as much as I can discern.
December 31, 2011 – Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act giving the Federal Government the power to detain US citizens indefinitely without being charged with a crime and without a trial. If the president finds a person to be suspected of terrorism that person may be held indefinitely. Terrorism isn’t defined.
In July 2006, a task force of the American Bar Association stated that the use of signing statements to modify the meaning of duly enacted laws serves to “undermine the rule of law and our constitutional system of separation of powers“.
January 2012 – There doesn’t seem to be a number available of times Obama has issued such a signed statement to “undermine” the law. Bush did this as well and Kucinich introduced an order of impeachment against him because of it. Obama, has continued the practice and is now taking it to a new level.
January 5, 2012 – Obama, saying he will not take “No” for an answer makes “recess” appointments that are admittedly unconstitutional. He didn’t even bother to hide this abuse.
Former Attorney General Ed Meese says the U.S. House of Representatives should pass a resolution condemning President Barack Obama for acting unconstitutionally in appointing a director to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and three members to the National Labor Relations Board without Senate confirmation and when Congress was still in session.
January 2008 – January 2012 Obama refuses to enforce immigration laws and sues states that attempt to enforce these laws.
March 19, 2011 – Ron Paul addressed Congress stating that the no-fly zone Obama declared over Libya was unconstitutional.
January 30, 2012 – The Health and Human Services Department under the direction of Barack Obama announced it will require all employers (with few exceptions) to provide health insurance to their employees which includes subsidized contraception, sterilization and coverage for abortion-inducing drugs. When Obama realized he might lose the Catholic vote in 2012 he issued another mandate saying that insurance companies rather than employees had to provide for these costs.
While all of the above truly is troublesome to me, one of the most troubling things to me that Obama has encouraged is the “Truth Team” which is supposed to “Keep Americans Honest”. This is a website that encourages citizens to report what others are saying. There doesn’t even seem to be any accountability there. There is no documentation of any sort. It smells very fishy to me. It is paid for by Obama for America.
Who should vote for Barack Obama? Only those who believe that a state of servitude and surveillance is better so long as it comes with an entitlement check.
I hope he has no plans to remain in office passed an elected term. I just wish that he would act more like an elected official and less like a dictator.
