GOP legislators put hold on ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill
I must admit that when I saw this headline, it did what I suspect was intended by the liberals at that paper and my reaction was probably also what they intended it to be. Surely no-one would write a bill forbidding the use of the word “gay”! They have not and that isn’t what the bill is about.
This bill deals with an issue brought on by what was called ‘the sexual revolution’ in the sixties. What should early elementary school children be taught in government schools concerning sexual preferences?
Most of us know the correct answer, but there are those who do not agree with the majority.
To find out what law-makers are deciding, read the article. My opinion remains that due to adult agendas being forced on educators and children there is only one option for caring parents. Children must be taken out of government schools while there is still freedom in this country to do so. If we wait, there may not be that option. We need, in this next election, to vote for people who are willing to de-fund the Department of Education and put the education of our children back into the hands of parents. If parents were allowed to keep the tax dollars they are sending to support education, private tuition would be affordable and as more and more parents make that choice, tuition would be greatly reduced. Excellent teachers from government schools would be able to enter the private work force.
Early education should not burden young children with political agendas from groups who want to “normalize” their behavior in society. Children do not need to be the target of political agendas in government operated schools and that is just what has happened in our country.
