Word for Today
Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven. Psalm 119:89
This is one of my favorite verses!

Mark Tillman was the pilot on Airforce One. He flew presidents through friendly and unfriendly skies. Mark was flying Airforce One on 9/11. If you are interested in what really happened with President Bush that day, he tells the story at Premiere Speaker’s Bureau site. It takes a while to hear the entire story, but it is interesting. Bush’s Thanksgiving visit to Iraq is included. Very interesting.
Just for Fun
George Soros, Barack Obama and others have said they want to redistribute the wealth of Americans. They are both multimillionaires who haven’t redistributed their own wealth. They do not acknowledge or perhaps fail to realize that capitalism and free enterprise is a system that does distribute wealth. America’s system both distributes and redistributes wealth to those who work hard and are able to dream. Families and people who understand this are people from the south who faced poverty after the civil war and were forced to rise from the ashes. Also, black American families have realized this as they rose from the bonds of slavery and poverty through the American system. There are those who say that blacks only did well because of government programs such as Affirmative Action, yet families of people such as Condie Rice and Clarence Thomas are living proof that it was possible for blacks to attain prosperity through their own ingenuity and hard work. As many families were beginning to live the American dream, politicians were taking credit for what American men and women were doing by working hard and staying strong.
I would like to ask people like George Soros and Barack Obama why they feel the need to redistribute the wealth of working class Americans while holding on to their own fortunes? How is it that their plan is more “fair” than a plan that allows people to work and plan, and with the blessings of God, secure a future for their family without government assistance?
Compare the living standards of people in America to those of socialist nations. What do you find?
