Al Gore Admits Political Motivation on Ethanol

Word For Today

Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.”  Luke 2:10

This is a wonderful promise. There is nothing but good here. We have nothing to fear because God has sent us good news, the gospel, and with it comes great joy. Here is the best part – it is to ALL people – not just a few and not just the affluent. These good tidings are to all. Whosoever will…

Just Because It’s Christmas

Political Point

For some time now our family has sought to buy gasoline that doesn’t contain ethanol. It isn’t easy to do, but it is possible. We have done this because we get better gas mileage with pure gasoline and because my spouse believed that Al Gore and environmentalist were politically motivated when pushing companies to add ethanol to gasoline.

It turns out that was a right decision. Al Gore has now admitted that he made a mistake and that Gores’s vision was clouded because he, in his own words:

“had a certain fondness for the farmers in the state of Iowa because I was about to run for president.”

Does that help undo any of the damage done by the use of ethanol since 1979? California began to address the problem in 1999.

This, however, will be like other “causes” politicians adopt in order to promote their own agendas. The damage will be done while Americans  are left to face the consequences and pay the cost and the politician will walk away unscathed.
