Word for Today
As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering every house, and dragging off men and women, committing them to prison. Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word. Acts 8:3-4
When Satan attempts to stifle the preaching and teaching of the word of God, many times this has an opposite effect. Beginning with the early church, when Saul began to drag men and women off to prison, rather than silencing Christians, the Bible tells us that they scattered and wherever they went, they preached the word.
We serve a risen Savior.
Will The Dreyfuss Initiative change how civics and social studies is taught in our public schools? Parents, grandparents, and teachers need to stay on-top of this program to be certain that the initiative truly teaches our children how to become better citizens by living according to our Constitution – the law of our land. For too long liberals in colleges and universities have taken the opportunity to teach a revision of American history and rather than teaching children how America is exceptional, have taught the opposite. For this reason, we need to examine this initiative that may find its way into our public schools.
Dr. Jeff McCausland is a member of the Board of Directors of The Dreyfuss Initiative. Unlike some of the members who have little information readily available, there is a great deal of information on Dr. McCausland. He was appointed Visiting Professor of International Law and Diplomacy at the Penn State Dickinson School of Law in January 2007. He is an Annapolis graduate.
Dr. McCausland is an adjunct fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and the RAND Corporation in Washington.
He also serves as a national security consultant to CBS television and radio. He has been a frequent commentator on the war in Iraq and Afghanistan for CBS since early 2003. Dr. McCausland has also appeared on MSNBC, CSPAN, CNN, and the CBS Morning Show as well as being interviewed by the New York Times, Christian Science Monitor, Wall Street Journal, and Boston Globe.
The above is a giant RED FLAG that this is a person who may be a puppet for the left. Rarely does MSNBC, CNN and CBS call upon a moderate or a conservative to do commentary and The New York Times is well-known for its liberal editorials. I haven’t found anything, however, to prove that McCausland is extreme. There is some indication that he leans toward a global world view. It will take some time to read the material that is available.
There is plenty of material available to examine at: Jeffrey D. McCausland Carnegie Council Senior Fellow.
