Paul Ryan’s Budget Triggers Partisan Response from Obama

The Wall Street Journal

The Wall Street Journal did what a good newspaper should do and gave a blistering attack of President Obama’s unbelievably partisan speech in response to Paul Ryan’s budget.

The headline read “The Presidential Divider” and the subhead was ‘Obama’s toxic speech and even worse plan for deficits and debt.”

Here is a quote from the president’s speech and his spin of Paul Ryan’s plan to cut government spending:

“Their vision is less about reducing the deficit than it is about changing the basic social compact in America,” he said, supposedly pitting “children with autism or Down’s syndrome” against “every millionaire and billionaire in our society.”

It appears he stooping to a new low. The Wall Street Journal writer described it this way:

The President was not attempting to join the debate Mr. Ryan has started, but to close it off just as it begins and banish House GOP ideas to political Siberia.

Because he is a man who will stoop to this type of partisan rhetoric rather than engage in serious debate when our nation is in a financial crises, I think he should be a one term president. Hopefully America will agree with me on this.
