Rasmussen Polling On Presidential Election

Rasmussen Polling shows the president needs help being re-elected. None of this is lost on the Democrat party’s political machine. His approval numbers are down and even with so many contenders scattered about and the Republican party not having chosen a contender, many poll well against him.

The numbers show that Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee essentially run even with Obama at this point. Romney is nominally up two points, 44% to 42%, while Huckabee is tied with the president at 43% apiece.

With this happening prior to any campaigning, it isn’t surprising that Obama’s friends in the media may be seeking a possible third candidate and/or a distraction from the economy and our huge national debt.
