For years I have been interested in how media shapes America’s future. Never has it been so obvious as it has become in the last eight to ten years.
According to the latest IMF official forecasts, China’s economy will surpass that of America in real terms in 2016 — just five years from now. …
IMF stands for the International Monetary Fund. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is an organization of 187 countries, who claim to work to foster global monetary cooperation and to secure financial stability, facilitate international trade, promote high employment and sustainable economic growth, and reduce poverty around the world. It was established after WWII and was designed to oversee the international monetary system to ensure exchange rate stability and encouraging members to eliminate exchange restrictions that hinder trade.
Now they are warning us what many already know. China will soon be considered the World leader monetarily.
This should and does cause most Americans concern. But something else in the story should also cause Americans concern. The Wall Street Journal also put this line in the story:
According to the IMF forecast, whomever is elected U.S. president next year — Obama? Mitt Romney? Donald Trump? — will be the last to preside over the world’s largest economy.
Not only are the folks at the journal assuming that Congress will not turn things around economically, they seem to be deciding who will run for the office of the presidency in 2012.
America, did you know those were your three choices? The Republican party hasn’t chosen a candidate to run for the presidency so the media is placing these names in the news as if one of the three are a given. Is this a part of media mind control and media manipulation?
Did the Journal quote the IMF on this? I suspect it came from Brett Arends’ ROI who wrote the piece, but I could be wrong on this. Whoever decided that these are your choices, needs to be set straight by the American people. There are many conservatives who are running for president and the primary elections have not been held.
