Occupy Atlanta Silences Civil Rights Hero John Lewis!

This is just weird! Here is what those who are occupying Wall Street understand democracy to be!

Can you just imagine a country with leadership chosen by this bunch? They are refusing to allow their own to speak and not just in Atlanta.  Geraldo Rivera was also silenced in New York.

The speakers they refused to hear are both outspoken liberals. What do these protestors want other than chaos?

Perhaps the problem is that many people think that our government is a pure democracy. It isn’t. It is a Constitutional Republic with democratic principles.

True, but the corporations like Exxon Mobil have not paid US Federal income taxes. The democratic system they feel doesn’t work in the interests of the people, but of those who bought and sold Congressmen and women.

      Good Morning,
Thanks for coming by and for posting.

The protestors are unhappy with the system, but are they clear in their minds about what should replace the system we have? Are these people able to point to a system that has worked better and produced a society where living standards are higher for a higher percentage of people than what it has been here and if so, do they have a plan for a peaceful way to get there? It seems that they are very disjointed and confused. When chaos and confusion leads a movement, the result is usually not beneficial to anyone but those who are seeking more power. There have been ads uncovered where people are being paid to attend these rallies, so they are not ‘grassroots’. That indicates that the people who are sincere are being used.

Forbes began the story that Exxon did not pay US income tax. It was reported Exxon paid $15 billion in taxes, just not in the US. There is an explanation given as to how that story got out and why it really isn’t the correct story on Forbes – Exxon Explains Story of US Taxes

I am not certain and will never know for sure if Forbes did or did not pay their fair share in the USA, but Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 plan will correct these problems for those who do business in this country. We will have to get industry back in the US for anything to work.
