There is nothing too hard for God…

Almost fifty years ago a pastor and friend of ours said that he thinks 666 represents all that man can accomplish without God. It would seem to me that 777 could represent what God can do.

Jeremiah 32:17 ‘Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.

Well, your pastor friend is wrong about that number 666, and of what it represent.
FYI, 666 represent a powerful but false spiritual leader, and he reside in Vatican City. John use the number, for it can’t be manipulated and that it will hide the identity of this man until the time of the end.
666 is the total number of what is inscribed in the crown of this spiritual leader. and this is what the inscription :VICARIUS FILII DEI.( meaning SUBSTITUTE OF GOD.) The Roman letters has an equivalent values in Arabic Numerals and if you count them, you will end up with the number,666.

Let no man deceive you by any means : for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that the man of sin be revealed, THE SON OF PERDITION, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. (2 Thess.2:3-4)
*That’s why he is called “The Pope”(“The Father “in English language)

And another thing, The Vatican is the so called mother of the harlots and abomination. Her so called children are the PROTESTANT CHURCHES.

The pastor who said that wasn’t saying that it would not be the number of the anti-Christ. I think he meant that God chose 666 to describe the anti-Christ because he would be a man without God and with only the power that man can find without God.
