Demonstrators Plan to Occupy Retailers on Black Friday

“Occupiers” plan an attempt to spoil the biggest day of the year for successful retail businesses. Isn’t this something like biting the hand that feeds you?

While this isn’t going to actually do much harm to the corporations, it is supposed to help small businesses on the following day, according to the Occupy web-site.

I have bought from locally owned small businesses whenever possible for most of my life and I wonder why, if the protesters are sincere, they haven’t done so as well.

A suggestion to ‘Occupiers’ is this. If you really are concerned about corruption and Wall Street why not use your influence at the polls and vote out those career politicians who have profited from ‘insider trading’ over the years?

While this might not immediately gain media attention, in the long run we would have a better country and a more functional government. We need to demand that those governing and writing legislation live by the laws they enact.

One Response to Demonstrators Plan to Occupy Retailers on Black Friday

  1. What will happen is they will only buy from those that endorse their “occupy-isms.” It’s the same system that has brought us to where we are now: the militarization of the police;the militarization of the civilians.

In a nutshell, you owe them. They aren’t responsible for anything.
