Rick Santorum – New Front-Runner

What happened in Minnesota, Missouri, and Colorado yesterday has most politicians reconsidering what their next move may be. I must say that I was
surprised. Mike Huckabee admitted that he, too, was surprised.

The person who wasn’t surprised was Rick Santorum. He has been saying all along that he has strength among conservatives in the midwest.

Not only did Santorum come in first. Romney and Gingrich came in last.

This is giving new hope to many conservatives who have been told by media that conservatism cannot win an election and that Romney (who doesn’t really seem to be that conservative) cannot beat Obama. Gingrich and Romney have caused many Republicans to feel defeated because of their destructive campaign tactics. Personally, I have wondered if there was going to be anyone who could actually stir any excitement in the Republican Primary, other than Ron Paul who has stirred excitement, but hasn’t won a primary.

Santorum doesn’t have the baggage that Gingrich and Romney have. He just hasn’t gotten very far in the primaries until yesterday. I know that Conservatives and many Republicans have been wanting a candidate they feel could win and one with whom they could identify.

I had given up on Santorum due to his poor showings after Iowa; however, Rick Santorum may be that candidate after all and perhaps God’s hand is on this man.

One thing that would help Santorum now is an outline of exactly what he has to offer if he is elected. There is information on his web-site, but he could really move out ahead if he had a program that catches on as Herman Cain‘s 9-9-9 caught the attention of voters.

What he MUST have is God’s blessing and hand on his life. Perhaps he has this!
