…having nailed it to the cross

Did you know the Bible tells us that Jesus Christ has disarmed Satan and the host of angels who followed him when he was cast out of heaven?

The Bible teaches us that there is a battle in which we are engaged against our enemy:

Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

The good news is that our enemy has been disarmed. When we fully trust Christ and understand Colossians 2:13-15 we will be much more confident facing the enemy.

And you… He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

Dr. Michael Youssef has stated concerning those who would remove the cross from our society:

“Those fighting to remove this symbol must either fear the Cross itself or are offended by it for unknown reasons, because they choose only to remove this particular religious symbol, while others are left alone.”

Dr. Youssef is right. Those who have made themselves enemies of the cross recognize the power that is represented there.
