Clarence Sexton – Lord, Send a Revival

Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. Habakkuk 2:4

Clarence Sexton, pastor of Temple Baptist Church in Knoxville, has written a book entitled Lord, Send a Revival.

It is my belief that this book was written for the USA today. In his book, pastor Sexton teaches of the condition of the nation of Judah during the time of the prophet Habakkuk.  Judah was in a dark period of their history. The people no longer cared for the things of God, but rather the souls of God’s people were not upright before Him. That nation was captured by the wicked Babylonians.

Many in the church are today calling for revival. Without it, how can our nation stand? Our hearts are not upright before God and our nation is in much the same condition as Judah was during the time of Habakkuk.
