Two things about Walter Williams I really appreciate…

There are many things I admire about economics professor Walter Williams, but two things that are rare in today’s America are:

1. He doesn’t try to brainwash his students into becoming conservatives, Libertarians, or Republicans because he realizes that it is unethical for a professor or classroom teacher to do this and…

2. He is doesn’t back down, but rather defends his positions eloquently even if they ‘sound’ radical or politically incorrect.

Recently I watched his interview with Brian Lamb on C-span Q & A. On the show he shared much about his life and his career.

Williams understands that ideas are powerful and that students who are taught how to think and given information without bias will be able to reach their own decisions about what is good for them and what is best for our society.

The interview last about an hour and is well worth the time it takes to watch or just listen.
