An Easter Message

Do you believe that God loves you and wants you to be safe?

In our country today there are many, many people who are not open to Christianity. People on-line often disparage the Cross and Christ saying that the Bible is a myth and cannot be true.

As we go about this Easter Sunday, some Christians may have doubts due to the vocal attacks by atheists, evolutionists, and agnostics.

Devout Christians sometimes ask the same question that Job asked.

Job 9:14 How then can I answer Him,  and choose my words to reason with Him?

The Holy Spirit does the work and it is He who speaks to those who hear.

Here are some verses that answer what it takes to reach the lost. It does take:

Ears to hear – If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear! Mark 7 :16

Pray that God will give us ‘ears that hear’.

When people ‘hear’, they will respond. When do people hear? It takes those dedicated to living a separated life before a lost and dying word as Paul did:

But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you…But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return. Luke 6:27, 35

On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God. Acts 13:44

It takes preaching.

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? Romans 10:14

God still speaks today. Pray that many will hear on this beautiful Easter Sunday.

Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts…Hebrews 3:7-8
