Watching and listening to Morgan Freeman on ‘Through the Wormhole’ is interesting. What really caught my interest was this part of a statement:
A molecule as complex as DNA could not have formed by itself…
After all these years of fighting the idea of Intelligent Design, I found it interesting that this remark was even allowed on the air. Of course it is accurate and most of us have realized this all along.
Most of the questions posed on the program are intriguing. What is more intriguing is that many of the answers are found in the Bible. Example:
Today, we think we know what we’re made of. But the bigger mystery is, what holds us together? Why don’t atoms float around as they please? What holds them in place to create solid mass?
While the Bible doesn’t tell us how He does it, it tells us that:
Colossians 1:17 And he (Christ) is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
‘Through the Wormhole’ will not attribute matter and life to our Creator, choosing rather to suggest aliens might be communicating with us through DNA. 🙂 Still, I was pleased to hear them recognize that natural selection cannot be responsible for life as we know it.
Real learning occurs when scientists acknowledge the Creator God and use what He has told us as a basis for their research. There are some scientists who do just this, but these people are usually shunned. This is because there is a movement by secular scientists to find answers that exclude God and the Bible.
They have a dilemma, because this isn’t possible.
