A Letter to Speaker Boehner: This is your chance to prove you are a leader…

December 8, 2012

Dear Speaker Boehner:

America awaits your leadership and action. The man we call President, Barack Obama, seems disinterested in taking a leadership role. The time has come for a leader.

Congress must act and save our economy and our country at this crucial time in history. It can be done and must be done. Two-thirds of the Senate vote is needed to pass a bill without a presidential signature.

Please tweak the plan that you presented last week and present a bill to Congress that will cut wasteful and useless spending. Democrats should get on board if the bill includes a provision that will produce revenue by doing away with only the ridiculous loopholes the rich enjoy and it is presented to them properly. This can be done without taxing producers. Obama, himself, recommended this plan in 2011. Surely there are enough Democrats who know that Congress could improve their standing with constituents the moment they STOP playing politics and produce a bill that is actually good for all Americans. We the people know it can be done. Why not be the hero America needs and DO IT?

Two-thirds of Congress coming together could end the political games and move America forward!
