Obama has told you already…America is not exceptional.

In 1776, we fought a Revolutionary War with England. Back then there was no income tax, only a consumption tax on items such as tea and stamps. Those who were doing well enough to afford tea and stamps had to pay taxes amounting to about 3% of a person’s income. In today’s America, Democrats are celebrating because, if they do well in life,  those who represent them in Congress just raised their income tax to 40%. According to the non-partisan Tax Policy Center, 77.1% of working Americans will now pay more taxes because of the expiration of a payroll tax cut.

ObamaPopeyeTaxmanThose who believe that somehow America will benefit from taxing the rich are deluded. It is similar to believing that by throwing a shark a large piece of meat, they make the waters safe for themselves. Will a shark cease to attack once he has fed on a large piece of blood gorged meat or once that meat is swallowed, will he look around for more?

Politicians will not cease to want higher taxes once the prosperous among us cease to be prosperous. When those who made $450,000 a year cease to exist, the tax man will come for those who make $350,000. When those making $350,000 cease to exist, the tax man will come for those making $250,000 and so it goes until the tax man comes for you. Will  you dare ask what happens when there are no high wage earners? The answer is simple. Everyone who has been on entitlements without working at all will enter the work force. It has happened in other countries and will happen here. After all, Obama has already told you… America is not exceptional.

True,l think he wants to raise taxes across the board, but of course he can’t do anything without the Republican- led House. It’s sad to see our country screwing up this way. I think that Obama wants everyone to turn their heads all day long toward DC, rather to their own communities, via the tube. Obama may calculate that the mass media, or fourth estate, have become more powerful as a force in society than anything other factor. Hence, he knows he can keep the country’s focus on himself and Washington … in the past people didn’t pay that much attention to what went on there, unless it was a national emergency. Now we have 24 hour cable tv news, and talk radio, and there’s just too much emphasis on that ugly town, in my humble opinion. They should do more shows about ordinary America, without the witless sitcom writers who show the whole country as idiots.

Lincoln instituted the Income Tax, I believe. Yours, PS>
