Our God is a God of Creation and Redemption – Revelation Chapter 14:6-13

As we see the end approaching, two things are becoming more and more apparent. Those who hate  Christianity and the God of the Bible are waging war on two fronts. They attack creation and the idea that there is only One Way to heaven. Any religion that teaches mankind might redeem himself in some way is accepted. Evolution is accepted. Even the idea that Aliens started life on earth, as far-fetched as it may seem, is acceptable. The two doctrines that are not tolerated today are Creation and Redemption by the blood of Christ or “the everlasting gospel.” These two doctrines are not tolerated because the god of this world is fighting against them and many are unwittingly joining him in the fight. Listen to what happens in the last days and give particular attention to what is in bold print.

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. Rev.14:6-13

Our works are important and will follow us, but keeping God’s commandments seems to be a separate issue. God commands us to love Him and believe in His Son:

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.  For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 1 John 5:3-7
