Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day. Please take time to go to The Christian Post and read the stories placed there of descendants of those who still feel the effects of that terrible, tragic time.
Israel remembers… I think the entire world should do what is being done in Israel as shown in the video.
No one enjoys remembering this event because it is difficult to comprehend and we do not want to be reminded that we humans can be so evil and treat others so inhumanely.
It is one thing to know that a single person could be so evil, but there were so many who were involved and they continued with Hitler’s evil plan for so long.
‘We must remember’ and as the film states, we must understand what human beings are capable of.
But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? 1 John 3:17
God is love, and we need Him in our hearts and in our lives.
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith 1 John 5:2-4
Christians should support Israel. We should do so because we love them. It is true that God promises concerning Israel:
I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you.
We should do so even if this verse wasn ‘t in the Bible. We should do so because our God chose Israel a the nation through which He would reveal Himself and a nation that He would bless.
So Christians, please pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for the Israeli people.
