What God wants us to know…

If you have studied the Bible, you know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that the Fullness of the Godhead is found in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Do you also know, with certainty, where you will spend eternity? Is it even  possible for a person to know with certainty where he or she will be spending eternity?

The Bible says we who trust Jesus Christ may know and that God even gives us a ‘guarantee’.  This guarantee isn’t written by men or a company owned by men. It is written by our Creator-Redeemer God.

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. 1 John 5:13

After reading 1 John, and believing in His name, the name of the Son of God, look at what the Bible teaches concerning those who believe:

For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. 2 Corinthians 5:4-5

Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee. 2 Corinthians 1:21-22

In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:13-14

We have the assurance of God – who is known to us as the devoted Father, the loving Savior, and the mighty Holy Spirit. He is the One who allows us to know where we will spend eternity if we trust Him.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,
O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14
