After spending many hours thinking about who will live at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Washington, DC after the 2016 election, I have reached a conclusion that seems to me, to be certain. Hillary Clinton, who is not doing so well right now, needs a hand-up. And she hasn’t actually had to answer any difficult questions from her opponents! She does, however, have two certain paths she can choose and (humanly speaking) either will probably lead to her being elected.
One path of course, is nation-wide voter fraud which would have to include allowing unregistered, illegals (Undocumented immigrants to be PC) to vote.
The other, and easier, path for Hillary would be to have a third-party candidate in the running, as Bill Clinton did in 1992.
Ross Perot was much like Donald Trump. He was an independently rich businessman who appeals to voters who think a businessman could run the country better than a politician. Perot is currently worth 3.7 billion $$. Trump’s worth has been reported to be 10 billion.
It probably isn’t too hard to find supporters when you are worth billions of dollars. Who knows why Perot and Trump make the decisions they make, but the end result will be the same, unless….unless men and women who trust God get serious about repentance and prayer for our nation.
I am not sure that any person knows at this time who would be the right president for our country. Our nation is in trouble financially, but having a rich president isn’t the answer. Even having a businessman as president isn’t the answer.
The Bible teaches us that:
Unless the LORD builds the house,
those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the LORD watches over the city,
the watchman stays awake in vain. Psalm 127:1
We also know that the God of the Bible says:
I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling. 1 Timothy 2:8
Nothing is done without our Creator/Redeemer’s knowledge and permission. I believe as Asa did:
2 Chronicles 14:11 “O LORD, there is none like you to help between the mighty and the weak. Help us, O LORD our God, for we rely on you.”
May we say with Jehoshaphat:
“O Lord God of our fathers…We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.”2 Chronicles 20:6,12
It is God who puts leaders of nations in place and if we respect and obey His laws and pray for His will to be done, I believe He will place a person at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. who will help turn the hearts of the people back to Him.
