Watchtower, Jehovah’s Witness, and the Truth

For those who read the Watchtower publications, please know the following: There are some correct facts throughout their teaching. Their problem is with what isn’t said and with what is omitted or changed! There is so much information in their tens of thousands of written Watchtower teachings, yet important Biblical teachings are left out. With so much man-made doctrinal focus* and opinion, and little if any emphasis on saving faith or salvation by grace through faith, a person who enters this organization will not be led by them to know Christ in a personal relationship.

Watchtower doesn’t emphasize that in Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. In all of their thousands of pages, they fail to teach that the Word was with God and the Word was God. In fact, they have rewritten this passage by their own admission and added a word to make it read the Word was “a god”. This they do to support their doctrine. Watchtower teaches their victims that it is alright to add to the word of God here because Watchtower speaks with the authority of God and they say this supports scripture. If they teach that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, it is hidden beneath layers and layers of Watchtower’s writings. Without knowing the essentials of the gospel, a person will not come to saving faith in Christ, but rather will have a continuous learning, but never coming to a knowledge of the truth.**

Watchtower never mentions that the Messiah will be called “Everlasting Father.” They explain away, using their ‘technically speaking’ argument, how Mighty God doesn’t mean “Almighty God” in Isaiah 9:6. They just do not deal with the fact that he is called “Everlasting Father!”

Isaiah: 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Since the Messiah is also Everlasting Father, this fully explains Christ statement in John 10: 30 when He said, I and the Father are one.”

*This people honors me with their lips,
but their heart is far from me;
in vain do they worship me,
teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’
.’” Matthew 15:8-9

**2 Timothy 3:7 …always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.

Jeremiah 21:8 “Furthermore, tell the people, ‘This is what the LORD says: See, I am
setting before you the way of life and the way of death.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
