Dr. Ben Carson – in the real world or in ‘up-side-down-land’?

Here is a quote from crooksandliars.com: They are speaking of Dr. Ben Carson who is under media attack on several issues. The ‘crooks and liars’ are questioning whether he lied about being associated with a company called Mannatech. They are calling him an outright liar and they say:

In the real world a lie like this would finish off a candidate running for president, but who knows what will happen in the GOP presidential primary.

An examination of the facts proves Crooks and Liars are wrong. In the real world, in the past seven years look at the evidence. If what they say is true, would Hilary Clinton still be in the presidential race?

  • March, 2008 – Hillary Clinton lied about being under sniper fire in Bosnia.
  • March, 2015 Hillary Clinton lied about her emails and the number of electronic devices she uses: “In full disclosure,” Clinton said she carries both a Blackberry and an iPhone
  • October, 2015 Hillary Clinton sat in a Senate hearing and admitted to America that she had lied to the public about what happened at Benghazi. She told her family the night of the attack, as well as Egyptian Prime Minister, that the attack was caused by a planned terrorist’s attack while telling the American people it was an unplanned protest caused by a video. (The man who made the video went to prison.)
  • May 2015 Bill Clinton made the following statement when it was disclosed that the Clinton Foundation had taken millions of dollars from foreign donors: “There’s one set of rules for politics and another one for real life and you just have to learn to deal with it,” he said.

So what is happening?  When Dr. Ben Carson stepped into the world of politics, he stepped out of the real world. Dr. Carson is running against those who call themselves ‘progressives’. This caused him to step into ‘up-side-down-land.’ Things work exactly opposite of the way they should in ‘up-side-down-land’. Perhaps, if enough people work with Dr. Carson, things may be righted again.

As for the Mannatech question, the explanation is found here: The Facts About Dr. Ben Carson and Mannatech.  I suggest, for those concerned about the doctor’s integrity, the entire post be read before making a judgement! Meanwhile Dr. Carson has quietly debunked one accusation after another, yet the accusers continue to make new allegations.

In up-side-down-land, if you are a conservative Christian, you are accused of telling lies about yourself, not to make yourself look good, but rather you are lying when you tell unflattering things about yourself. In up-side-down-land, if you are a conservative Christian, especially a person of color who is conservative and Christian, you are guilty until proven innocent. If you are progressive, and certainly a white, progressive woman married to Bill Clinton, you are innocent, even if all the evidence points to a guilty verdict. That is just how things work in up-side-down-land.

My prayer is that the world of politics may be put up-right as it should be.
