In order to better understand the Syrian crises Dr. Ben Carson did what few have done. He traveled to Jordan to meet with Syrian refugees. He should receive praise for doing this!
Dr. Carson has not been praised by the media. In fact, those on the far left chose to report the event, but only with the headlines of a one-liner they believed would hurt his candidacy. CNN jumped on the far-left band-wagon. Rather than give Dr. Carson praise for visiting Syrian refugees and examining the situation up-close, they use a video showing one line from a speech by Dr. Carson and use this caption: Ben Carson likens some refugees to ‘rabid dogs’ (which of course was never Dr. Carson’s intent).
MSN gave a neutral report as did some other media outlets.
Dr. Carson’s trip is not a missionary trip, as far as I know, but perhaps he realizes, as I do, that the perfect solution to the Syrian refugee crises would be to help these people find their way out of the darkness and into the light of Christ.
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
Even though it isn’t a missionary trip, I appreciate a man who cares for the American people, but also cares for the Syrian refugees enough to talk a closer look at the situation.
Carson is the most caring, honest, intelligent, level-headed candidate in the presidential race and it will be such a lose to our country if the haters are able to destroy this man or his candidacy.
The retired pediatric neurosurgeon is also bringing soccer balls and Beanie Babies for children in the camp and visiting a women’s and girl’s center, according to the Times. Carson told the Times it’s best to have “firsthand knowledge” of a situation.
Please pray for Dr. Ben Carson.
