Just when we thought politics couldn’t get any nastier or weirder…

Madeleine Albright  –

That look on Hillary’s face! She is happy to hear those words???

Former secretary of state Madeleine Albright said this in support of Hillary Clinton at a campaign rally in New Hampshire: “Just remember: there’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help each other.”

So, does this mean that she and Hillary are helping Carly Fiorina? Does this mean Hillary is taking from her fortune and helping young women who are pregnant, women who desperately want to keep their babies, by actually giving them aid rather than offering to fund an agency to pay for the baby to be aborted or killed? Does this mean that they helped Sarah Palin? Somehow I missed every news report of them helping any of these women, but surely they do not want that reserved spot, so they must now be helping or have helped them.

How dare she make such a statement?

  1. It’s an old, old saying that doesn’t fit current context, that’s all. Back in the late 60s, the 2nd wave feminists adopted a bunch of militant slogans based on ones being used in the Black Power movement. Current young voters don’t know this history, so to them it only sounds like blatant sexism and seems out of touch, which to a degree it is. Remember, Madeline Albright is 78. Mrs. Clinton probably recognized the saying from her own college days. I heard it about 45 years ago.
