The Last Frontier – African Missions

The words, last frontier, mean different things to different people. While for some this brings up the image of cowboys and the American west, there are others who consider the last frontier in light of the commission that the Lord Jesus gave to His disciples.

Maps of Africa: Correcting History for the Future
About 49% of the African population have not accepted or have not heard of Christ.

We are to tell all men everywhere that Christ suffered and died and was raised from the dead. All nations and all people should have the privilege of knowing that repentance and faith in Christ secures for them the forgiveness of sin. Many in the world have not been told. There are people in Africa who need to know.

Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. Luke 24:45-47

The group who work in Last Frontier call themselves The Church of Christ. They are a non-denominational group who share Christ and the message of the Bible while helping the African people.

One way that we can take part is to pray for those who go and the African people to whom they are sent.

Life is very difficult for the believers among one Last Frontier people group. Many of them are very afraid to tell their spouses and children of their faith. We have the privilege of asking God to encourage, strengthen, and help them to be a great light in a very dark place.
