Project Gutenberg – Being used to reach Muslims for Christ

Project Gutenberg is a project that has grown since 1999 and now offers over 50,000 ebooks free. The books offered are not protected by U.S. copyright law, usually because their copyrights have expired. A complete explanation is found at Short Stories.

They have affiliates and partners that offer over 100,000 books around the world.

I came upon the project while searching for the Gutenberg2 Film Project. This is a Christian outreach project that came to my attention through ‘IMB connecting‘ who say the following:

God is using a series of biblical films about strategically selected Old Testament characters and the movie, The Savior, to redeem the hearts of Muslims.

While searching I also came across the Jesus Film Project. It is estimated that over 200 million people have already been reached by these films. They state:

We believe film is the most dynamic way to hear and see the greatest story ever lived — so we are driven to bring Christ-centered video to the ends of the earth.

As Christians it is our responsibility and commission to reach those who have not heard the gospel. We also have the privilege of praying for these laborers who are working in the field.

Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,  redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:16-17 Berean Study Bible

May we find the time to pray and way to become involved in outreach.
