I remember when, not too long ago, people from both parties organized a grassroot’s movement to attempt to end corruption in government and to take power out of the hands of the establishment and return it to the people.
If you listen to the video below, you will hear a political candidate express many of the same goals as those early members of the grassroot’s movement expressed.
The grassroot’s movement was known as the Tea Party and was mildly successful during its inception, but has since lost most of its political clout. The members became either disillusioned or defeated once the establishment organized against them, began to infiltrate the group, and began to make accusations of racism and extremism.
The truth is, the average American wasn’t and isn’t prepared to fight the power of the establishment. Some became confused, some believed that the movement was racist because of actions by those who infiltrated the membership. Others felt hopeless and tired.
We are now seeing similar attacks and what happens when a presidential candidate takes on the establishment. The question is, “Will America be able to stand with him or has the establishment become too powerful to be stopped?”
