Watchtower’s 7th tenet has to do with creation and states:
Tenet 7 – Jesus Christ was the first creature made by Jehovah God and the only creature that he made directly, all other creatures, including humans, being made by Christ using Jehovah’s power.
Watchtower worshipers contradict themselves here. They say Jesus isn’t God, and they then teach that after Jesus was created, He created all other things. The Bible, in Genesis, clearly states that in the beginning God created all things. According to their teaching on creation, Jesus must be God because:
THE BIBLE SAYS
By the seventh day God had finished the work He had been doing; so on the seventh day He rested from all His work. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it He rested from all the work of creating that He had done.
From Genesis through The Revelation of Jesus Christ it is clear that Yahweh created all things. He spoke them into existence with the Word of His Power and He Breathed life into mankind.
Genesis tells us that He created the earth and all things on earth. The book of Job tells us that angels were created before the earth.
“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation … and all the angels shouted for joy?” (Job 38:4,7).
No where in the Bible are we told that Christ was created. Instead, the Bible teaches that all things were created by Him and for Him.
“For by Him (Jesus, the Word) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:” Colossians 1:16
John 1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2. The same was in the beginning with God. 3. All things were made through Him. Without Him was not anything made that has been made. 4. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it.
1 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2 but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed the heir of all things, through whom also He created the world. 3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of His power. After making purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become as much superior to angels as the name He has inherited is more excellent than theirs. “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. 9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions.” 10 And, “You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands; 11 they will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment, 12 like a robe you will roll them up, like a garment they will be hanged. But you are the same, and your years will have no end.” 13 And to which of the angels has He ever said, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation? Hebrews 1:1-14
Jesus Christ is the exact radiance of the Father and was present and participated in the creation as the Living Word and that Word of His Power holds all things together.
