Isaiah teaches us about Christ.

“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2

WHEN AND HOW DID THE LORD BECOME OUR SALVATION?

Simeon answered this question not long after Christ’s birth. Here is the account of Mary and Joseph bringing Jesus into the Temple where Simeon had waited to see the LORD’s salvation:

Luke 2:29-31 …29 “Sovereign Lord, as You have promised, You now dismiss Your servant in peace. 30 For my eyes have seen Your salvation, 31 which You have prepared in the sight of all people,…”

ISAIAH’S PROPHECY CAME LONG BEFORE CHRIST’S BIRTH

Isaiah wrote 740-680 BC. There are interesting facts found at ThoughtCo Book of Isaiah, The Lord is Salvation.

THE WAY OF THE LORD IS JESUS

Isaiah wrote this description of a Christian’s life.

Isaiah 35:8 And a highway shall be there,
and it shall be called the Way of Holiness;
the unclean shall not pass over it.
It shall belong to those who walk on the way;
even if they are fools, they shall not go astray.(John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.)

THE REDEEMED

Isaiah spoke of those who will be redeemed. Who are these people?

9 No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast come up on it;
they shall not be found there,
but the redeemed shall walk there.
10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return and come to Zion with singing;
everlasting joy shall be upon their heads;
they shall obtain gladness and joy,
and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

According to the New Testament the redeemed are those who come to Christ for forgiveness and cleansing:

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace. Ephesians 1:7

Titus 2:13 “…we await the blessed hope and glorious appearance of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. 14 who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.”

If you haven’t trusted Christ for personal salvation, today is a good day to believe and receive Him. He has made a way for you.
