Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 1 Timothy 2:1-2
As we pray for God to save America remember that we have been commanded to pray for all who are in authority over us. This includes our President.
Today please pray that the Lord God will give President Trump wisdom to see what the end result of his policies and politics will be for all citizens in America. Ask that he be given a heart that truly loves those he serves and a heart that understands that true greatness is found not in power and wealth, but in service and humility and that a soft answer turns away wrath.
Pray that President Trump will be able to forgive those who despise him.
Pray that those in Congress will put the needs of constituents above their own needs and understand that placing our nation in debt takes away our freedom because:
The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender. Proverbs 22:7
Pray that God will send us godly men and women to serve as elected officials and judges in 2020. Pray that they will be men and women of integrity who will turn the hearts of the people back to Him.
Pray that God will help all our officials and rulers to seek His face, do His will, and obey His commands that our nation may once again be a nation that exalts Christs and His righteousness.
Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Proverbs 14:34
